What is UKG Ready?

  • Ultimate Kronos Group (UKG, formerly Kronos) is the company behind time and attendance system Workforce Ready.  We call it “UKG Ready or Ready” for short.  It is a time entry and leave management system that collects hours worked and/or leave used from employees, obtains supervisor approvals for time sheets, change requests, and time off requests, and then feeds this information to the payroll system.  Computer Web clocks will be used in office environment, employees can use their desktop computers to log in and punch in & out daily.

UKG Communication

UKG is the company behind the new Payroll, HR, and Time & Attendance system. We call it “UKG Ready or UKG” for short.  The time entry and leave management component of the system will collect hours worked and/or leave used from individual employees, obtain supervisor approval for time sheets, change requests, and time off requests, and then transfer this information to the payroll system for processing. 

Web clocks on your desktop computer (UKG Icon was already placed) will be used for all employees who are required to punch in and out daily. Employees without a dedicated computer will have access to a computer for this purpose (i.e., Mailroom Staff, Porters, & Security).

Recently, we completed the initial meetings with all Supervisors and Managers for their respective Departments.  All Supervisors & Managers should now have access to your team information (please log in and check team members and their profile).  You may receive alerts via email from the UKG Ready system already. You do not have to take any immediate actions at this time except to login, practice navigating, and review the Learning Journey tool. If you do not have access to your UKG Ready Account, please contact the JIB UKG support team via email at JIBHR@jibei.com

Electronic UKG Payroll Features: 

  • Weekly Earning Statements (we will discontinue hardcopy payroll statements soon). You must log in to download/print your weekly earnings statement.
  • Annual W-2 Form
  • Annual 1095C Form
  • 401k Election updates
  • Tax Changes
  • Direct Deposit changes
  • Employee Basic Data (view only).
  • OT and Straight Time logging, tracking, calculation, and processing pay 

Time and Attendance

  • Sick, Safe and Personal Time Tracking
  • Differential information (if applicable)
  • Accrual and Usage Recordkeeping in compliance with NYC, NYS, and Federal Guidelines
  • Daily Recording (Punch in – Punch out) of time for those who are required to do so, e., all Non-Exempt staff or those otherwise directed to do so by JIB Management

Weekly To Do Reminders for Approvers and Back Up Approvers 

  1. Review and Approve timesheets by the close of business each Friday;  if you are unavailable to do so, the designated Secondary Approver must finalize and approve each timesheet. If you require assistance, please contact HR UKG Support team.
  2. Failure to handle #1 above may result in interruption with pay status.
  3. For the Saturday/Weekend schedule only – timesheets must be approved no later than Monday at 8:30AM - no exceptions. If you need assistance, please contact the support team.
